Officine Panerai seeks a Workshop Manager in Neuchâtel to lead watch service ateliers and ensure technical excellence and operational performance.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the watch service ateliers in Neuchâtel, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to Officine Panerai technical standards.
- Supervise, coach and develop a team of watchmakers and technicians; organise skill training and performance reviews.
- Oversee quality control processes and final inspection to guarantee technical excellence and customer-ready presentation.
- Plan workshop workflow, capacity and staffing; prioritise repairs and allocate resources to meet SLA targets.
- Manage spare-parts inventory, spare-parts sourcing and supplier relationships to ensure parts availability and traceability.
- Implement and maintain health & safety, clean-room and anti-static procedures within the atelier.
- Drive continuous improvement in repair processes, turnaround times and cost-efficiency while preserving craftsmanship.
- Prepare operational reports, monitor KPIs and liaise with regional service management and client-facing teams on escalations.
Qualifications
- Formal watchmaking qualification (WOSTEP, Swiss Federal Certificate or equivalent).
- Proven supervisory experience within a luxury watch service environment.
- Demonstrable expertise servicing mechanical movements and complications.
- Strong understanding of quality control standards and workshop safety protocols.
Skills
Experience
Typically 5+ years of progressive experience in watchmaking or after-sales service within the luxury watch industry, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role responsible for workshop operations.
Education
Diploma or certificate in watchmaking (WOSTEP, Swiss Federal Certificate or equivalent).
