Panerai seeks a Regional Commercial Director to lead commercial strategy and execution across its North America West Coast boutiques and wholesale channels, overseeing sales, client experience, talent development, brand image, and merchandising. The role partners with headquarters and cross-functional teams to deliver financial targets and operational excellence; the position is full-time.
Role & Responsibilities
- Develop annual, monthly, and three-year plans and budgets; execute strategic commercial plans to achieve financial targets and adapt to changing priorities.
- Partner with headquarters to shape and adapt the West Coast commercial roadmap, aligning with global brand guidelines and local market dynamics.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance across boutiques and wholesale distribution channels.
- Work with Operations and Supply Chain to ensure boutiques have the appropriate product assortment and availability to meet sales goals.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with headquarters in New York, Geneva, and Milan.
- Develop event and media schedules with Marketing and Communications to strengthen existing client relationships and reach new prospects.
- Partner with the Brand President on the regional P&L, ensuring the Group's internal control procedures are implemented, followed, and monitored.
- Set clear sales and productivity goals for employees, support their achievement, lead reporting and analysis, and monitor market trends and business opportunities.
- Map, elevate, and refine the end-to-end boutique client journey to deliver seamless, memorable, personalized luxury experiences at every touchpoint.
- Manage regional client relations and ensure the highest standards of luxury client service.
- Nurture relationships with top VIPs and collectors in support of boutique teams.
- Ensure boutique managers proactively lead clienteling and database management; partner with Client Experience and Marketing to strengthen existing customer relationships and acquire new clients.
- Build brand awareness and provide regional input to the Client Experience team for local activities that maximize sales and customer loyalty.
- Participate in recruitment for open positions and the professional development of boutique teams, in coordination with Human Resources.
- Manage, implement, and monitor Ambassador KPIs, guidelines, and procedures.
- Support boutique managers' development and team performance management; identify and develop Brand Ambassadors within the wholesale network.
- Manage the annual Performance Management Process and hold monthly meetings with retail leaders and teams to align on vision and performance.
- Identify high-potential talent and implement development and succession plans to support business growth and retain a motivated workforce.
- Support onboarding for new boutique hires and ensure regional training initiatives are implemented effectively.
- Ensure flawless brand presentation in each boutique, working with Visual Merchandising to execute display guidelines and timely animations.
- Oversee brand image and visibility with Store Design & Planning, Marketing, and Supply Chain.
- Strengthen the auto-replenishment (APO) business model to maintain appropriate stock levels; review assortments for each boutique and point of sale weekly.
- Improve replenishment processes to maintain optimal model stock for retail and e-commerce and minimize lost sales caused by product unavailability or shipping delays.
- Implement and maintain boutique operating policies and procedures with RNA Finance and Loss Prevention.
- Coordinate with Marketing, Communications, Client Experience, Events, Operations, Visual Merchandising, Supply Chain, IT, and HR to support global strategies and execute targeted boutique action plans.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a business-related field.
- At least 8 years of progressive commercial leadership experience in a luxury retail environment.
- Client-centric, people-oriented, and passionate about the luxury customer journey.
- Exceptional organizational skills and a proven ability to manage complex projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
