Panerai seeks a CAO-PLM-FAO Reference Specialist in Neuchâtel, Switzerland to drive digital manufacturing excellence and standardise Creo and Windchill workflows across design and production.
Role & Responsibilities
- Structure, standardise and simplify design methodology within Creo to ensure robust, coherent and exploitable models throughout the industrial digital chain
- Develop, test and deploy design development methodologies (DDC, DDD, DDM, SENS Methodology) for both casework and movement design
- Create, maintain and evolve Creo templates, standard models and configuration files tailored to watchmaking specifications
- Automate and standardise design practices through macros, libraries and technical bureau standards
- Transform CAD data into high-performance industrial datasets by automating industrialisation methods and enhancing field user efficiency
- Develop new Creo functionalities oriented toward user performance optimisation
- Automate and standardise industrialisation deliverables including phase plans for casework and movement components
- Develop and maintain CAM-specific utilities for specialized processes such as stone-setting and finishing
- Standardise and automate machining protocols to secure programming integrity, reduce preparation time and guarantee consistent quality across material types (steel, titanium, bronze)
- Structure and standardise process sheets and tool specifications for all machining operations
- Define and deploy universal machining standards aligned with Panerai's material portfolio
- Develop universal tool kits and FAO structures for standardised production
- Develop, maintain and evolve post-processors for existing and new machining equipment
- Serve as the reference point for CAO, PLM and FAO users, providing expert support and resolving technical incidents
- Manage user accounts, profiles and access rights across Creo and Windchill environments
- Ensure system stability and optimal functioning of both software platforms and their releases
- Train and mentor new collaborators on digital tools and methodologies
- Provide first-level support for design, industrialisation and manufacturing divisions
- Coordinate the network of key-users across CAO, PLM and FAO disciplines
- Participate in cross-functional manufacturing projects
- Develop and manage peripheral tools including JIRA integrations and ERP interfaces
Qualifications
- Master's degree in mechanical or software engineering
- Advanced proficiency in Creo CAD: usage, configuration and standardisation
- Expert-level command of PDM/PLM environments, specifically Windchill
- Strong proficiency in CAM: ISO language, machine tooling and post-processor development
- Solid understanding of ERP systems and cross-platform interfaces
- Competency in database management and software development (SQL, HTML, JavaScript, PHP, VB.Net, Webservices)
- Proven experience in mechanical design and industrialisation workflows
- Deep familiarity with Richemont manufacturing methods, data flows and industrial environments

Substantial hands-on experience in mechanical design and industrialisation within luxury manufacturing or precision engineering sectors. Demonstrated expertise managing cross-functional workflows between technical design, production engineering and manufacturing teams. Proven track record implementing CAD/CAM standardisation initiatives and automating complex digital workflows. Experience supporting and training users in advanced CAD and PLM environments within high-precision manufacturing contexts.
Education
Engineering degree (mechanical, software or equivalent discipline) required.
