Role & Responsibilities
- Undertake vocational training in the adjustment and regulation of mechanical watch movements under supervision.
- Assemble and disassemble movement components with strict adherence to quality and tolerance specifications.
- Perform fine adjustment of escapements, balance assemblies and hairsprings using microscopes and precision tools.
- Learn and apply inspection procedures and use precision measuring instruments to verify tolerances.
- Follow technical drawings, work instructions and production documentation; maintain accurate training records.
- Observe workplace health, safety and cleanliness standards in a controlled manufacturing environment.
- Participate in continuous learning activities, classroom instruction and on-the-job mentoring.
Qualifications
- Completion of compulsory schooling and eligibility for a Swiss vocational apprenticeship (AFP) in watchmaking or microtechnical trades.
- Strong manual dexterity, hand–eye coordination and fine motor skills.
- Keen interest in microtechnology, mechanics and precision assembly.
- Good visual acuity and ability to work under a microscope for extended periods.
- Dependable, punctual and able to follow detailed technical instructions.
- Comfortable working in a French-speaking production environment and willing to attend classroom-based vocational modules.

No prior professional experience required; candidates are expected to show manual aptitude, an interest in horology and a willingness to learn through a structured apprenticeship.
Education
Compulsory schooling completed; candidate must be eligible for a Swiss AFP (federal VET certificate) apprenticeship in watchmaking or an equivalent vocational pathway.
