Role & Responsibilities

  • Undertake vocational training in the adjustment and regulation of mechanical watch movements under supervision.
  • Assemble and disassemble movement components with strict adherence to quality and tolerance specifications.
  • Perform fine adjustment of escapements, balance assemblies and hairsprings using microscopes and precision tools.
  • Learn and apply inspection procedures and use precision measuring instruments to verify tolerances.
  • Follow technical drawings, work instructions and production documentation; maintain accurate training records.
  • Observe workplace health, safety and cleanliness standards in a controlled manufacturing environment.
  • Participate in continuous learning activities, classroom instruction and on-the-job mentoring.

Qualifications

  • Completion of compulsory schooling and eligibility for a Swiss vocational apprenticeship (AFP) in watchmaking or microtechnical trades.
  • Strong manual dexterity, hand–eye coordination and fine motor skills.
  • Keen interest in microtechnology, mechanics and precision assembly.
  • Good visual acuity and ability to work under a microscope for extended periods.
  • Dependable, punctual and able to follow detailed technical instructions.
  • Comfortable working in a French-speaking production environment and willing to attend classroom-based vocational modules.

Experience

Compulsory schooling completed; candidate must be eligible for a Swiss AFP (federal VET certificate) apprenticeship in watchmaking or an equivalent vocational pathway.
