Role & Responsibilities

  • Follow the formal apprenticeship curriculum leading to the Swiss CFC in Production Mechanics with a décolletage/turning orientation.
  • Learn to set up, operate and monitor manual and CNC turning machines (décolletage) under supervision.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and translate tolerances into machine settings and production actions.
  • Carry out precision measurements using micrometers, calipers and gauges to ensure parts meet specification.
  • Perform basic preventive maintenance, tool changes and machine adjustments to support continuous production.
  • Apply quality-control procedures and document production outputs in accordance with internal standards.
  • Work collaboratively with technicians and production teams while observing safety and clean-room protocols.

Qualifications

  • Completed compulsory schooling or equivalent; readiness to begin a vocational training program leading to a CFC.
  • Strong manual dexterity and an aptitude for precise, detailed work.
  • Good numerical skills and the ability to understand technical drawings.
  • Reliable, punctual and motivated to learn within a structured apprenticeship.
  • Ability to work effectively in small teams and follow formal instructions and safety rules.

Experience

No prior professional experience required; suitable for candidates beginning a vocational apprenticeship who demonstrate an interest in microtechnology and manufacturing.

Completed compulsory schooling or equivalent; willingness to attend vocational school as required by the CFC apprenticeship.
