Role & Responsibilities
- Train in the manufacture and finishing of small precision mechanical components using manual machine tools and basic CNC equipment under supervision.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and production instructions; apply tolerances and geometric specifications.
- Perform precision measurement and quality control using calipers, micrometers and height gauges; document results according to procedures.
- Assemble and test micro‑mechanical subassemblies; perform deburring, fitting and adjustment operations.
- Maintain workshop equipment and tools; follow safety, cleanliness and 5S standards.
- Attend vocational school and internal training modules; apply theoretical lessons to on‑the‑job tasks.
Qualifications
- Completion of compulsory education or equivalent; eligible for a Swiss CFC apprenticeship programme.
- Strong manual dexterity and fine motor skills with an aptitude for precision work.
- Good numeracy and spatial reasoning; strong interest in mechanics and micro‑technology.
