The Vice President of Aircraft Management Sales drives EJM’s aircraft management growth and market share in an assigned territory, leading prospecting, consultative sales, proposals, negotiations, and account transitions. The role maintains a qualified pipeline, meets annual quotas, manages sales reporting and territory analysis, and requires extensive travel.
Role & Responsibilities
- Prepare and present standard and customized Management Services presentations, materials, and proposals to qualified prospective customers; negotiate and enter into profitable long-term management agreements.
- Meet annual sales quotas established by the Senior Vice President of Sales while staying within predefined expense budgets.
- Grow EJM’s Aircraft Management services business in the assigned market through proactive selling and prospecting, demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of services offered by EJM and NetJets.
- Network with aviation service providers and industry contacts, including aircraft manufacturers, maintenance and refurbishment facilities, financing groups, aircraft sales brokers, consultants, FBO operators, local business members, tax professionals, charter brokers, NetJets personnel—particularly sales representatives—and flight department personnel such as chief pilots, aviation managers, and dispatchers.
- Manage and document sales activity in the EJM Sales database system, including timely synchronization with the company-wide system.
- Manage prospective sales calls to maximize visits during each travel event.
- Prepare weekly sales activity reports covering the number and type of sales calls, key prospect status and activity, and future sales activity and forecasts.
- Attend and actively participate in scheduled sales meetings.
- Analyze territory market potential and competitor intelligence for the Regional Vice President of Aircraft Management Sales.
- Provide the Senior Vice President of Sales with accurate and timely expense report documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Aviation or Business.
- Demonstrated success selling complex, high-value products or services to senior executives and high-net-worth individuals.
- Ability to build trusted client relationships and influence decision-makers through consultative selling.
- Experience leading sales teams and driving performance against established revenue goals.
- Strong executive presence and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate value over cost.
- Success generating business through proactive prospecting, networking, referral development, and disciplined pipeline management.
- Self-directed and resilient, with the ability to overcome customer objections and navigate complex sales cycles with minimal oversight.
- Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
- Private aviation or related luxury, transportation, or high-touch service industry experience is preferred.
