NetJets seeks a Senior Project Manager for its Corporate Real Estate team to lead real estate and construction initiatives from inception through close-out, overseeing scope, budgets, schedules, risks, due diligence, and stakeholder reporting. The role requires 6–8 years of experience, a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration, and travel between locations, including overnight stays.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage assigned Corporate Real Estate projects from inception through close-out, collaborating with team members, stakeholders, and vendors and using project management processes, tools, techniques, and available resources.
- Maintain project plans covering budget, scope, and schedule.
- Develop project schedules with internal and external stakeholders and vendors.
- Establish processes to communicate and document project progress for stakeholders.
- Define project tasks and the resources needed to complete them.
- Set and continually manage expectations with team members, stakeholders, and vendors.
- Anticipate project needs, risks, and challenges.
- Coordinate solutions to mitigate risks affecting budgets or schedules.
- Prepare reports on project progress, contingency matters, schedule issues, and issues affecting project operations.
- Monitor and report project progress to stakeholders using various communication tools and methods.
- Oversee and coordinate due diligence initiatives with internal and external partners.
- Develop and implement policies, tools, and standards for a best-in-class construction project management organization.
- Complete projects on time and within budget.
- Support team members in key stakeholder meetings to clarify business needs, define project goals and charters, and align projects with strategic objectives.
- Take ownership of new and different requests to enhance the department’s and organization’s reputation.
- Participate in preparing the annual budget and scheduling expenditures.
- Build trusted relationships across functions and organizations; collaborate across teams to define strategy, goals, and commitments to timelines and deliverables.
- Collect and document project close-out requirements.
- Identify gaps in information-gathering tools and develop processes to collect, track, and report information needed for successful project delivery.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration.
- 6–8 years of experience.
- Project-related certifications in Project Management, Construction Management, Business, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or other related credentials are a plus.
- Prior project management experience, including projects exceeding $10 million.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing environments, roles, responsibilities, and processes.
- Ability to manage and prioritize a large number of projects and tasks.
- Ability to travel between locations, including overnight stays.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to pass the KCMH airport background check for AOA access.
- Demonstrated ability to comply with operational policies and procedures, codes, and regulations.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Mastery of project management knowledge, tools, and skills.
- Industry-specific certifications, licenses, or coursework are a plus but not required.
- Knowledge of real estate development fundamentals.
