NetJets Senior Platform Engineer

Role & Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, maintain, and support software applications, services, and systems, ensuring delivery of business value and operational readiness
• Ensure application resiliency, stability, security, and data protection by implementing robust engineering practices, proactive monitoring, and adherence to organizational and industry standards
• Provide technical leadership for engineering teams and contribute to the definition, design, development, integration, testing, and documentation of products and features aligned with technology and architectural standards
• Collaborate across functional teams and with business stakeholders to ensure business value is achieved and outcomes meet agreed-upon goals
• Take ownership of commitments, deliver results with integrity, and demonstrate accountability for outcomes
• Operate within an agile team to deliver outcomes iteratively while fostering empiricism, learning, and continuous improvement in delivery practices

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum 4–6 years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, DevOps, or a related technical discipline
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision and guidance
• Strong programming skills in Java, Python, and JavaScript/TypeScript with experience building and supporting scalable enterprise applications
• Experience designing, developing, and supporting microservices, distributed systems, and API-based architectures
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud-native services, containerization technologies such as Docker, and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes
• Strong experience implementing and managing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform or similar technologies
• Proven experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and GitOps-based delivery practices
• Knowledge of DevSecOps principles, including secure software development practices, vulnerability management, security compliance, software supply chain security, and application/platform security
• Experience operating and supporting production environments, including managed services such as Amazon OpenSearch, ElastiCache/Redis, and MSK/Kafka
• Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, observability, monitoring, and operational excellence practices
• Experience participating in on-call rotations and supporting production systems in a high-availability environment
• Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies and modern engineering best practices

Skills

Experience

4–6 years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, DevOps, or a related technical discipline, with demonstrated expertise in building scalable enterprise applications, microservices architectures, cloud-native infrastructure, and production environment operations.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
