NetJets Senior Accountant position in Paço de Arcos, Portugal. Manage accounting, accruals, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Role & Responsibilities
- Prepare, register, and control accruals (G&A, revenue, VOCs, MIS FOCs, salaries) to ensure accurate representation of the company's financial condition
- Perform and classify general accounting transactions, including journal entries, general ledger postings, and bank transactions in compliance with applicable laws and NetJets standards
- Prepare monthly reconciliations between General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Fixed Assets, resolving discrepancies to ensure account integrity
- Prepare financial statistical information for submission to legal and tax authorities in the UK, USA, Portugal, and other jurisdictions
- Participate in monthly and year-end closing reports, providing accurate and timely accounting data for management decision-making
- Perform balance sheet account reconciliations across different entities within the group and follow up on identified open items
- Assist with financial audits and external requests, coordinating with internal and external auditors to provide necessary financial records and information
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Economics
- Minimum 6 years of accounting experience
- Experience in a multinational and complex group of companies
- Excellent proficiency in English
- Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
- Knowledge of database systems and financial software
