NetJets seeks a Pilot to command aircraft safely while delivering a high-touch service experience to Owners and passengers, including pre-flight briefings, in-flight service and operational liaison. The role requires FAA ATP or Restricted ATP eligibility, specified flight-hour thresholds, relevant medical and radio credentials, and the ability to work variable schedules and extended tours.
Role & Responsibilities
- Operate the aircraft safely during taxi, takeoff and landing in accordance with FAA guidelines, OEM checklists, NetJets Flight Operations Manual or Aircraft Operating Manual, and Standard Operating Practices.
- Greet Owners and passengers before flights, make introductions, brief them on the flight and trip, verify itineraries, provide weather updates and safety briefings, and explain itinerary changes.
- Provide in-flight service as needed, including handling alcohol and serving catering.
- Load and properly stow baggage on the aircraft as needed.
- Conduct flights for Owners with pets and for those who smoke.
- Serve as the final authority on the aircraft for all operational matters, ensuring compliance with applicable safety and regulatory guidance.
- Liaise between Owners or passengers and NetJets from their arrival at the FBO until they have landed safely at their destination and departed the final FBO.
- Report maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies to the Company through the fleet Maintenance Control Center Controller on duty.
- Complete paperwork associated with maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies.
- Perform other duties as assigned, depending on the assignment.
Qualifications
- Hold an FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP), Restricted ATP, or meet the requirements for an FAA ATP or Restricted ATP (R-ATP) certificate with a multi-engine rating in accordance with 14 CFR 61.160.
- Be at least 21 years old.
- Meet one of the following flight-time thresholds: 1,500 hours total flight time; 1,250 hours with an appropriate university R-ATP certificate; 1,000 hours with a military pilot qualification; or 1,000 hours with an appropriate university R-ATP certificate.
- Have 200 hours of cross-country flight time (more than 50 nautical miles).
- Have 250 hours of fixed-wing pilot-in-command time.
- Have 100 hours of night flying, or 75 hours with at least 45 night takeoffs and landings.
- Have 75 hours of instrument time, actual or simulated in flight, excluding simulator time.
- Complete the ATP written examination before starting Indoctrination Training.
- Have 50 hours of fixed-wing, multi-engine time.
- Hold a current FAA First-Class Medical Certificate.
- Hold an FCC Restricted Radio Operator's Permit.
- Hold a valid U.S. passport and be able to travel internationally without restriction.
- Be authorized to work in the U.S. and travel in and out of the country without restriction.
- Be able to work varying hours, including days, nights, weekdays, weekends and holidays.
- Be highly flexible and able to adjust to rapid changes.
- Manage rest effectively to remain prepared for flight duty throughout the tour.
- Be able to work duties lasting up to 14 hours per day for as many as eight days, potentially across time zones and in extreme weather conditions.
- Be able to spend seven or more days and nights away from home while on duty, staying in hotels.
- Be able to obtain airport authority and/or U.S. Customs security badges and pass Transportation Security Administration background screening.
- Hold a valid state driver's license.
- Read, write, speak and understand English fluently.
- Be service-oriented, maintain a neat, well-groomed appearance and make a positive impression, including through effective interaction with passengers.
- Have excellent oral and written communication skills, particularly under pressure.
- Make quick, accurate decisions while maintaining close attention to technical and passenger-service details.
- Be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 30 pounds frequently and/or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
- Be able to work around animals, including handling and caring for them before, during and after Owner flights.
- Be able to conduct flights for Owners who smoke.

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 86,015 to USD 117,706 per annum.
