Executive Jet Management seeks a Pilot in Command for a Gulfstream 280 based at Bridgeport-Sikorsky Airport, Connecticut, supporting a two-pilot owner account with a steady schedule and a maintenance technician. The PIC is accountable for safe, compliant and efficient operations, regulatory and company compliance, and exceptional owner and passenger service.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Holds final responsibility for operating the aircraft safely, compliantly and efficiently while meeting company and regulatory requirements and delivering exceptional service.
  • Ensures crew assignments and trip assignments comply with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Completes flight planning, performance calculations, and weight-and-balance tasks for each assignment as required.
  • Uses Threats, Plans and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to lead required briefings and mitigate operational risks.
  • Complies with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), coordinates with company personnel as required, and acts as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator under company policy.
  • Completes aircraft pre-flight tasks, including checking maintenance status, to confirm mission readiness; records aircraft discrepancies in accordance with company SOPs.
  • Monitors and ensures completion of aircraft ground servicing, including fueling, oil and oxygen, in accordance with SOPs.
  • Conducts passenger briefings in accordance with company policy and regulations, provides the highest level of customer service, and accommodates passengers’ special needs, including those of physically challenged passengers.
  • Uses Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) to communicate clearly and promptly with crew and support personnel during normal, abnormal and emergency operations.
  • Provides quality service to owners and passengers, identifies opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience, and regularly investigates and resolves service deviations.
  • Collaborates with crew members and EJM internal partners to provide a consistent service experience and resolves conflicts and challenges appropriately.
  • Maintains regulatory and company-required training and recency of experience.
  • Complies with the company Safety Management System (SMS) program and reports safety or compliance concerns through appropriate channels.

Qualifications

  • 4–6 years of experience.
  • Prior experience in corporate or business aviation preferred.
  • FAA type rating in the applicable fleet.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position.
  • Minimum flight-time requirements: 3,500 total flight hours; 1,500 Multi Engine Land (MEL) hours; 2,000 Pilot in Command hours; 500 PIC MEL hours; 300 instrument hours; and 500 jet hours.

Compensation

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 220 to USD 230 per annum.
