Executive Jet Management seeks a Pilot in Command for a Gulfstream 650ER based in Washington, DC (KIAD), flying under Part 91 and Part 135 as part of a three-pilot account supported by a maintenance technician and cabin attendant. The PIC holds final responsibility for safe, compliant and efficient aircraft operations while ensuring regulatory and company compliance and delivering exceptional service.
Role & Responsibilities
- Ensure crewing and trip assignments comply with company and regulatory requirements.
- Complete flight planning, performance calculations, and weight-and-balance tasks for each assignment as required.
- Lead required briefings using the Threats, Plans and Considerations (TPC) methodology to mitigate operational risks.
- Comply with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), coordinate with company personnel as required, and act as Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator under company policy.
- Complete aircraft pre-flight tasks, including reviewing maintenance status, to ensure mission readiness; record aircraft discrepancies in accordance with company SOPs.
- Monitor and ensure completion of aircraft ground servicing, including fueling, oil, and oxygen, in accordance with SOPs.
- Brief passengers in accordance with company policy and regulation, deliver a high level of customer service, and accommodate passengers’ special needs, including those of passengers with physical disabilities.
- Use Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) to communicate clearly and promptly with crew and support personnel during normal, abnormal, and emergency operations.
- Provide quality service to owners and passengers, identify opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience, and regularly investigate and resolve service deviations.
- Collaborate with crew members and EJM internal partners to deliver a consistent service experience to owners and passengers; resolve conflicts and challenges appropriately.
- Maintain regulatory and company-required training and recency of experience.
- Comply with the company SMS program and report safety or non-compliance concerns through appropriate channels.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in corporate or business aviation preferred.
- FAA type rating in the applicable fleet.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position.
- Minimum total flight time of 3,500 hours.
- Minimum 1,500 hours Multi Engine Land (MEL).
- Minimum 2,000 hours as Pilot in Command.
- Minimum 500 hours PIC MEL.
- Minimum 300 instrument hours.
- Minimum 500 jet hours.
