Executive Jet Management seeks a Lead Pilot in Command to provide peer leadership for its KLAS-based Gulfstream 280 flight department while maintaining an active flying schedule and fulfilling all PIC duties. The role combines safe flight operations, crew leadership, client service, and flight department administration; the opportunity is exclusively for existing Gulfstream 280 crew assigned to the KLAS operation who wish to transition to EJM employment.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Manage key client relationships, balancing client and EJM needs, and communicate proactively to address issues and opportunities.
  • Work with assigned or designated maintenance personnel to ensure scheduled and unscheduled maintenance events and recurring tasks, such as database updates, audits, and checklists, are completed.
  • Complete aircraft owner and account duties, including invoice reviews, audits, vendor relations, charter approvals, and crew scheduling, in line with defined expectations.
  • Support and motivate flight department crew members in achieving departmental goals while representing the EJM brand; report concerns or issues to the Regional Chief Pilot.
  • Manage flight department administration, including office and aircraft supplies, subscriptions, crew schedules, and related crew communications.
  • Ensure crewing and trip assignments comply with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Complete flight planning, performance, and weight-and-balance tasks for each assignment as required.
  • Lead required briefings using the Threats, Plans and Considerations (TPC) methodology to mitigate operational risks.
  • Follow company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), coordinate with company personnel as required, and act as Ground Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator under company policy.
  • Complete aircraft pre-flight tasks, including checking maintenance status, to confirm mission readiness; record aircraft discrepancies in accordance with company SOPs.
  • Monitor and ensure aircraft ground servicing, including fueling, oil, and oxygen, is completed in accordance with SOPs.
  • Conduct passenger briefings in accordance with company policy and regulations, provide high-level customer service, and accommodate passengers’ special needs, including physical disabilities.
  • Use Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) to communicate clearly and promptly with crew and support personnel during normal, abnormal, and emergency operations.
  • Provide quality service to owners and passengers, identify opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience, and investigate and resolve service deviations.
  • Collaborate with crew members and EJM internal partners to deliver consistent service to owners and passengers; resolve conflicts and challenges appropriately.
  • Maintain regulatory and company-required training and recency of experience.
  • Comply with the company Safety Management System (SMS) and report safety or non-compliance concerns through appropriate channels.
  • Ensure crew members remain qualified for their assigned roles in accordance with regulations and company policy.
  • Ensure crew members comply with company policies and that appropriate audits are in place.

Qualifications

  • FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certification.
  • Prior experience in corporate or business aviation.
  • FAA type rating in the G280.
  • Minimum flight-time requirements: 3,500 total flight hours; 1,500 Multi Engine Land (MEL) hours; 2,000 Pilot in Command (PIC) hours; 500 PIC MEL hours; 300 instrument hours; and 500 jet hours.
  • Ability to perform the essential job functions associated with the position.

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 160,000 to USD 325,000 per annum.
