NetJets Lead Pilot in Command

Role & Responsibilities

• Manages client relationships and proactively addresses operational or service opportunities for the assigned flight department
• Supervises aircraft maintenance coordination and compliance with all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance events
• Completes flight planning, weight and balance calculations, and performance analysis for each assignment
• Leads flight department briefings using Threats, Plans and Considerations (TPC) methodology to mitigate operational risks
• Ensures full compliance with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR), and Part 91 operational requirements
• Conducts comprehensive pre-flight aircraft inspections and records all discrepancies according to company protocol
• Monitors and oversees aircraft ground servicing operations including fueling, oil replenishment, and oxygen systems
• Manages passenger briefings and delivers exceptional customer service while accommodating special passenger needs
• Directs crew resource management and threat and error management communication during normal, abnormal, and emergency operations
• Manages flight department administration including crew scheduling, supplies procurement, and subscription maintenance
• Ensures all crewmembers maintain regulatory compliance and required training certifications
• Oversees implementation of the company Safety Management System (SMS) program and reports safety concerns through appropriate channels
• Provides quality service to aircraft owners and passengers while identifying opportunities to enhance operational excellence
• Collaborates with fellow crew members and internal EJM partners to deliver consistent service experiences

Qualifications

• FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certification
• FAA Type rating for Gulfstream G600 or equivalent jet aircraft
• Minimum 3,500 hours total flight time
• Minimum 1,500 hours Multi-Engine Land (MEL) aircraft
• Minimum 2,000 hours Pilot in Command (PIC) experience
• Minimum 500 hours PIC MEL aircraft
• Minimum 300 hours instrument flight experience
• Minimum 500 hours jet aircraft flight experience
• Prior corporate or business aviation experience
• Ability to perform all essential job functions associated with the position

Skills

Experience

4 to 6 years of professional aviation experience, with substantial background in corporate or business jet operations. Strong preference given to candidates with prior Gulfstream G600 or similar ultra-long-range jet type experience and demonstrated proficiency in Part 91 corporate flight operations.

Education

Commercial pilot license with multi-engine and instrument ratings; FAA ATP certification required.
