NetJets Lead Captain, Gulfstream G550

Role & Responsibilities

• Lead peer-leadership for the designated flight department with emphasis on crew resource management, client service, and administrative oversight
• Manage client relationships while balancing stakeholder needs and company objectives; communicate proactively regarding current or potential issues
• Collaborate with maintenance personnel to ensure compliance with scheduled and unscheduled maintenance events and complete routine administrative tasks
• Execute flight department administrative duties including invoice reviews, auditing, vendor relations, charter approvals, and crew scheduling
• Support flight crew members' professional development and motivate achievement of departmental goals while representing the EJM brand
• Ensure crewing and trip assignments comply with regulatory and company requirements
• Complete flight planning, aircraft performance calculations, and weight-and-balance tasks for each assignment
• Lead required briefings using Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) methodology to mitigate operational risks
• Comply with company Standard Operating Procedures and coordinate with company personnel; serve as Ground Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator
• Execute comprehensive aircraft pre-flight inspections and ensure mission-capable status; record all discrepancies according to SOPs
• Monitor and ensure completion of all aircraft ground servicing tasks including fueling, oil servicing, and oxygen management
• Deliver passenger briefings per company policy and regulations; provide exceptional customer service and accommodate special passenger needs
• Utilize Crew Resource Management and Threat and Error Management techniques for clear, timely communication during all operational scenarios
• Maintain regulatory and company-required training and recency of experience
• Ensure all crew members remain qualified and compliant with company policies and applicable audits

Qualifications

• Minimum 3,500 total flight hours
• Minimum 1,500 Multi-Engine Land (MEL) hours
• Minimum 2,000 Pilot in Command (PIC) hours
• Minimum 500 PIC MEL hours
• Minimum 300 instrument hours
• Minimum 500 jet hours
• FAA Type Rating in Gulfstream 550 (strongly preferred)
• Prior Part 135 charter experience
• Ability to reside in or relocate to the Las Vegas, Nevada area
• Ability to perform all essential job functions of the position

Skills

Experience

Prior Part 135 charter experience required. Demonstrated experience in a leadership or supervisory capacity within flight operations is expected. The candidate should have substantial experience managing complex flight department operations, crew coordination, and client-facing responsibilities in a high-end private aviation environment.

Education

Commercial pilot certificate with multi-engine and instrument ratings required. FAA Type Rating in Gulfstream 550 strongly preferred. Candidates must maintain current FAA medical certification (First Class or equivalent).

Compensation

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 250,000 to USD 300,000 per annum.
