The Flight Operational Quality Assurance Gatekeeper supports NetJets’ FAA-approved FOQA program by identifying flights that may require crew contact, conducting those contacts, and safeguarding confidential information. The role contributes to event analysis, data collection and review, publications, presentations, and industry conferences.
Role & Responsibilities
- Identify flights that may require crew contact in collaboration with the FOQA Team.
- Conduct crew contacts professionally and accomplish the objectives set by the FMT.
- Maintain identified information in strict confidence at all times.
- Provide the FMT with information learned from crew contacts in a de-identified format.
- Act as a subject matter expert.
- Assist with in-depth analysis of significant events.
- Assist with developing FOQA content for publications.
- Assist with presenting single-event or aggregate data to crewmembers where practical.
- Assist with manual data uploads to WASABI as needed.
- Attend appropriate industry conferences and, with FMT agreement, present selected data.
- Assist with FOQA data collection and accountability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in aviation or a related field.
- FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certification required.
- 2–4 years of experience.
- Able to work independently and exercise independent discretion and judgment.
- Familiarity with safety analysis, trending, and risk assessment.
- Sound judgment in analyzing reports, assessing risks, and making recommendations.
- Demonstrated high degree of personal and professional integrity, with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
