NetJets Fleet Engineer position in Columbus, OH. Support aircraft repairs, modifications, and FAA compliance for private aviation fleet.
Role & Responsibilities
- Analyze repair and modification requests to determine classification as major or minor changes per 14 CFR requirements
- Design and document minor repairs and modifications, escalating major repairs to appropriate personnel
- Apply approved data and methods in developing comprehensive engineering documentation for fleet repairs and modifications
- Maintain rigorous compliance with FAA Part 23, 25, 43, 135, and other applicable regulations and company standards
- Manage accurate and detailed engineering documentation for all approved repairs and modifications
- Perform real-time troubleshooting and technical problem-solving to ensure timely resolution of operational issues
- Coordinate with Maintenance Control, Flight Operations, Technical Services, on-site Maintenance Representatives, and Flight Crews
- Collaborate with external MRO facilities globally to ensure timely and compliant repair execution
- Track and report project status to maintain adherence to timelines and regulatory compliance standards
- Support the integration of repairs and modifications for new and existing fleet aircraft
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance engineering efficiency
- Prioritize aircraft and occupant safety as the paramount operational objective
Qualifications
- Working knowledge of aircraft structures, systems, and associated repair processes
- Ability to make rapid technical decisions under time constraints
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for internal and external coordination
- Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to changing project priorities and operational situations
- Proficiency with aircraft drawings, manuals, and published aircraft design data
- Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification preferred but not required
- Ability to work effectively under mentorship while developing independent technical judgment

2–4 years of experience in aircraft maintenance engineering, fleet support, or related aviation technical roles
Education
Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering discipline
