NetJets seeks a First Officer to operate private aircraft safely while delivering an exceptional passenger and in-flight service experience. The role includes flight operations, passenger briefings, itinerary liaison and maintenance reporting, with extensive flight-time, FAA certification, medical, travel and schedule requirements.
Role & Responsibilities
- Operate the aircraft safely during taxi, takeoff and landing in accordance with FAA guidelines, OEM checklists, the NetJets Flight Operations Manual or Aircraft Operating Manual, and standard operating procedures.
- Welcome Owners and passengers before flights, make introductions, brief them on the flight and itinerary, verify travel details, provide weather updates and safety briefings, and explain itinerary changes.
- Provide in-flight service as needed, including handling alcohol and serving catering.
- Load and stow baggage aboard the aircraft as needed.
- Conduct flights for Owners traveling with pets or who smoke.
- Serve as the final authority aboard the aircraft for all operational matters, ensuring compliance with applicable safety and regulatory guidance.
- Liaise between Owners or passengers and NetJets from their arrival at the FBO until they have landed safely and departed the destination FBO.
- Report maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies to the company through the fleet’s Maintenance Control Center (MCC) Controller on duty, and complete the associated paperwork.
- Perform other duties as assigned, depending on the assignment.
Qualifications
- Hold an FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP), Restricted ATP (R-ATP), or meet the requirements for an FAA ATP or R-ATP certificate with a multi-engine rating in accordance with 14 CFR 61.160.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Meet one of the applicable flight-time thresholds: 1,500 hours total flight time; 1,250 hours with an appropriate university R-ATP certificate; 1,000 hours with military pilot qualification; or 1,000 hours with an appropriate university R-ATP certificate.
- Have 200 hours of cross-country flight time (>50 nm).
- Have 250 hours of fixed-wing pilot-in-command (PIC) time.
- Have 100 hours of night flying, or 75 hours with at least 45 night takeoffs and landings.
- Have 75 hours of instrument time, actual or simulated in flight; simulator time is excluded.
- Complete the ATP written examination before starting Indoctrination Training.
- Have 50 hours of fixed-wing, multi-engine time.
- Hold a current FAA First-Class Medical Certificate.
- Hold an FCC Restricted Radio Operator’s Permit.
- Hold a valid U.S. passport and be able to travel internationally without restriction.
- Be authorized to work in the U.S. and travel in and out of the country without restriction.
- Be able to work varying hours, including days, nights, weekdays, weekends and holidays.
- Be highly flexible and able to adapt to rapid changes.
- Manage rest appropriately to remain prepared for flight duty throughout the tour.
- Be able to work duties lasting up to 14 hours per day for as many as eight days, potentially across time zones and in extreme weather differences during a trip.
- Be prepared to be away from home for seven or more days and nights while on duty, staying in hotels.
- Be able to obtain airport authority and/or U.S. Customs security badges and pass Transportation Security Administration background screening.
- Hold a valid state driver’s license.
- Read, write, speak fluently and understand English.
- Present a neat, well-groomed appearance, demonstrate a service orientation and make a positive impression through effective passenger interactions.
- Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication, particularly under pressure.
- Make quick, accurate decisions while maintaining close attention to technical detail and passenger service.
- Be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 30 pounds frequently and/or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
- Be able to work around animals, including handling and caring for them before, during and after Owner flights.
- Be able to conduct flights for Owners who smoke.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 86,015 to USD 117,706 per annum.
