NetJets First Officer

Role & Responsibilities

• Operate aircraft safely from taxi through takeoff and landing in compliance with FAA guidelines, Original Equipment Manufacturer checklists, NetJets Flight Operations Manual, and Standard Operating Practices
• Greet and brief owners and passengers pre-flight, provide weather updates and safety briefings, verify itinerary details, and communicate any changes or delays
• Deliver in-flight service including the handling and service of alcohol and catering as required
• Load and properly stow all baggage and cargo in accordance with weight and balance requirements
• Manage flights for owners with pets and accommodate special passenger requests in a professional manner
• Maintain final authority on all aircraft operational and safety matters, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulatory guidance
• Serve as primary liaison between owners/passengers and NetJets from FBO arrival through final destination departure
• Communicate all maintenance abnormalities and discrepancies to the Maintenance Control Center and complete associated paperwork
• Conduct pre-flight and post-flight inspections and complete all required logbook entries and documentation

Qualifications

• FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with multi-engine rating, or meet the requirements for R-ATP certification per 61.160
• Current FAA First-Class Medical Certificate
• Minimum 1,500 hours total flight time (or alternative paths: 1,250 hours with university R-ATP, 1,000 hours with military pilot qualification, or 1,000 hours with appropriate university R-ATP certificate)
• Minimum 250 hours fixed-wing Pilot-in-Command (PIC)
• Minimum 200 hours cross-country flight time (>50 nautical miles)
• Minimum 100 hours of night flying or 75 hours with ≥45 night takeoffs and landings
• Minimum 75 hours of instrument time (actual or simulated in-flight)
• Minimum 50 hours fixed-wing multi-engine time
• ATP written examination completed prior to Indoctrination Training
• FCC Restricted Radio Operator's Permit
• Valid United States passport with authorization to work and travel internationally without restriction
• Valid State driver's license
• Ability to pass Transportation Security Administration (TSA) background screening and secure airport authority and/or US Customs security badges
• Minimum 21 years of age
• Fluent English language proficiency (read, write, speak, and understand)
• Authorization to work in the United States

No specific years of experience are mandated; qualification is based on the tiered flight hour requirements per FAA R-ATP regulations. Candidates meeting the flight hour thresholds and holding an ATP or R-ATP certificate are eligible.
