The Financial Analyst provides accurate financial and operational performance analysis, prepares weekly and monthly results for executive leadership, supports budgeting and forecasting, and advises department managers on financial matters. The role may include accounting duties and requires a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and 4–6 years of experience.
Role & Responsibilities
- Prepare weekly and monthly financial results and presentations for the Executive Management team; investigate and explain operational and financial variances to budget.
- Work with department managers on budgets and forecasts, monitor performance, and conduct ad hoc analyses for their functions.
- Perform accounting processes for assigned areas as needed, including managing accounts payable, compiling and maintaining accounting data, and preparing monthly closing journal entries and general ledger reconciliations.
- Analyze revenue and expenses, build financial models and forecasts, conduct rate and volume analyses, and assess profitability impacts.
- Prepare timely, well-written, fact-based presentations for financial and non-financial executives, translating complex financial analysis into clear, concise points grounded in practical financial theory.
- Advise department managers on budgets, accounting, and related financial matters and procedures.
- Identify, assess, and communicate issues affecting profitability.
Qualifications
