Role & Responsibilities
- Develops and implements crew training curriculum based on current regulatory requirements and business priorities, ensuring compliance with Part 135 operating certificate standards
- Oversees and audits third-party training vendors to guarantee alignment with applicable regulations, FAA guidance, and EJM operating policies
- Manages the FAA-Approved Crewmember Training Program Manual (CTPM) and ensures technical consistency across the Operations Manual System
- Provides backup instruction for initial and recurrent crewmember training classes at headquarters and offsite locations
- Serves as liaison between Safety and Flight Operations departments, leveraging mandatory and voluntary reporting data to recommend operational or training enhancements
- Monitors Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and industry developments, incorporating regulatory changes into training and compliance programs
- Administers operations change management and Policy and Procedures Review Group processes
- Oversees operational compliance assurance systems and associated technology integrations
- Represents EJM interests in vendor negotiations and manages contractual training obligations
Qualifications
- 5+ years of supervisory experience with a Part 121 or Part 135 air carrier
- Prior experience supporting a Part 121 or Part 135 certificate holder with demonstrated FAA regulatory knowledge
- Check Airman, Ground Instructor, or Instructor Pilot experience with a Part 121, Part 135, or 91K air carrier (preferred)
- Active or inactive line pilot qualifications appropriate for the position (preferred)
- Comprehensive understanding of FAA 8900.1 guidance and technical writing capabilities
- Proven experience functioning in or interfacing with industry associations and regulatory agencies
- Superior oral and written communication skills effective across all organizational levels
- Advanced project management capabilities
- Ability to operate effectively in complex, highly interrelated operational environments

Experience
5+ years of supervisory experience with a Part 121 or Part 135 air carrier, with demonstrated knowledge of FAA regulations, training program administration, compliance monitoring, and regulatory interactions necessary to support safe and compliant flight operations. Check Airman, Ground Instructor, or Instructor Pilot experience preferred.
