Executive Jet Management is hiring an Aviation Safety Intern for a paid 10-week internship at its Cincinnati headquarters, running June 7–August 13, 2027, with a flexible schedule and 35–40 hours per week. The role supports safety records, communications, risk assessments, investigations, KPIs, and compliance initiatives; preference is given to local Cincinnati-area students, and relocation is the student’s responsibility.
Role & Responsibilities
- Maintain the integrity of confidential safety records, databases, and reporting systems.
- Develop and distribute safety communications, newsletters, and promotional materials for crew and non-crew audiences, supporting safety promotion and employee engagement initiatives.
- Assist with administration of the Safety Management System (SMS) and Continuous Improvement programs.
- Support the investigation, organization, documentation, and analysis of safety reports, events, incidents, and operational data.
- Help develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to organizational safety objectives.
- Review SMS risk assessments to ensure appropriate measures are established and actions and procedures are documented.
- Support the preparation of presentations, reports, and metrics for safety meetings and leadership reviews.
- Participate in safety committee meetings and document key findings and action items.
- Research and monitor industry safety initiatives, regulatory updates, and emerging operational and environmental trends; assist with recommendations for compliance or improvement where applicable.
- Monitor corrective and preventive actions to support compliance and timely completion of new initiatives.
- Collaborate with Flight Operations, Maintenance, Flight Support, and Training to support safety initiatives.
- Perform assigned special projects and other duties related to aviation safety and operational excellence.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program and working toward a bachelor's degree; the internship is intended for sophomore- to senior-status undergraduate students studying aviation.
- Task-oriented, organized, and conscientious.
- Clear, professional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong work ethic; self-motivated, positive, and personable, with the ability to develop relationships.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook, with experience in internet research; comfortable using Excel spreadsheets for tracking and analysis.
- Excellent critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information.
