The Aviation Operations Specialist supports NetJets flight bookings from airport and aircraft capability analysis through operational coordination, reservation reviews, and mitigation of service risks. The role collaborates across flight operations and support teams to deliver seamless Owner experiences.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Communicate flight options tailored to each Owner and flight context, adapting delivery to the audience and supporting an exceptional, seamless service experience; communicate directly with Owners when appropriate.
  • Review flight reservations for quality and service, take ownership of mitigation options, and assess factors that could prevent flights from meeting or exceeding Owner expectations, including fuel stops, weather-sensitive airports, cargo, and capacity.
  • Coordinate with relevant NetJets teams before transferring responsibility to day-of-execution teams, identifying and implementing options to mitigate potential issues.
  • Research and analyze airports by gathering information and coordinating with airport, city, and state contacts.
  • Support senior team members in learning about airport equipment, navigational aids, instrument procedures, aviation regulations, aircraft performance, and company flight operations.
  • Help update and maintain internal data on airport and aircraft capabilities and operational limitations.
  • Serve as the central point of contact for operational and service-related questions at booking, follow up, and consult Aviation Operations Specialists, senior colleagues, and subject-matter experts as needed.
  • Collaborate with Scheduling, Owner Services, International Trip Planning, Flight Operations, Flight Dispatch, Aircraft & Industry Insights, Meteorology, NetJets Europe, and Executive Jet Management.
  • Keep internal system information current, accurate, and aligned with operational requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support operational needs and Owner satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • High school education.
  • 2–4 years of experience.
  • Experience in a service-oriented organization, preferably in aviation.
  • A solid understanding of general aviation operations is preferred.
  • General understanding of aviation weather.
  • General understanding of FAA crew duty and rest requirements.
  • General understanding of international flight logistics and requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor delivery to multiple audience levels.
  • Good judgment and strong collaboration skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, including anticipating potential issues and dealing with ambiguity.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule.
