Executive Jet Management seeks an Aircraft Maintenance Technician to maintain a Gulfstream G450 based at Dallas Love Field (DAL), supporting domestic and international Part 91 and Part 135 operations. The technician performs and documents aircraft maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting and repairs while ensuring continued airworthiness and compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Perform or oversee and document scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft, engines, landing gear, instruments, pressurized sections, accessories and other aircraft components; repair and service hangar, shop and ground-support equipment.
  • Inspect components using precision instruments to measure wear and use, comply with tool-calibration requirements, and communicate inspections and calibrations to the EJM Fleet Department.
  • Comply with federal, state and local safety regulations, including hazardous-waste management requirements.
  • Travel to airports to repair owner aircraft in Aircraft on Ground (AOG) status or arrange repairs through outside vendors; occasionally travel aboard the aircraft for test flights, troubleshooting or at the owner's request.
  • Coordinate aircraft release with the EJM Fleet Department.
  • Perform receiving inspections on incoming parts and components and to company standards.
  • Help ensure company safety, security and quality goals through ongoing compliance with the Safety Management System (SMS), and report recommendations or observed non-compliance through the appropriate process.
  • Perform troubleshooting, repair and maintenance across all phases, including dismantling, repairing and assembling machinery and mechanical devices, and exchanging or replacing electrical equipment and components.

Qualifications

  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certification.
  • Ability to run and taxi owner aircraft.
  • Ability to work on a lift platform 3 to 40 feet above the ground as repair needs require.
  • Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods while performing repairs.
  • Ability to operate tools including jacks, welders, torches, paint guns, sanders and a drill press.
  • Ability to lift and move machine parts weighing up to 70 pounds from ground to equipment level, and maneuver a single item weighing up to 125 pounds with appropriate equipment or another person's assistance.
  • Ability to learn and use technical manuals; good mechanical aptitude and effective problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and understandably, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to perform repairs quickly and effectively at short notice in high-pressure situations.
  • Ability to input and retrieve information using computers.
  • Ability to travel to repair locations in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to operate basic hand tools.
  • Preference for local candidates with experience on large-cabin Gulfstream aircraft or aircraft of a similar size.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background checks.
