NetJets Accountant role in Paço de Arcos, Portugal, covering general accounting, reconciliations and financial reporting.
Role & Responsibilities
- Prepare, record and control accruals, including G&A, revenue, VOCs, MIS FOCs and salaries, to support accurate reporting of the company’s financial position and availability of funds for business transactions.
- Record and classify general accounting transactions, including general ledger accounts, bank transactions and journal entries, in compliance with applicable laws, fiscal obligations and NetJets standards.
- Prepare monthly reconciliations between the general ledger and accounts payable, accounts receivable and fixed assets, resolving discrepancies to safeguard account integrity and compliance with accounting procedures.
- Prepare financial statistical information for legal and tax authorities in the UK, USA, Portugal and other countries.
- Contribute accurate and timely accounting data to monthly and year-end closing reports, enabling management to make informed decisions using financial indicators.
- Prepare and control balance sheet account reconciliations for different companies and follow up on identified open items.
- Assist with financial audits and ad hoc external requests, liaising with internal and external auditors and providing the necessary financial records and information on NetJets accounts.
Qualifications
- University degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Economics.
- Experience in a multinational and complex group of companies is an advantage.
- Excellent level of English.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Results-driven and a team player.
- Knowledge of database systems and financial software is an advantage.
- Strong analytical thinking.

Experience
6–8 years of experience; at least 6 years of accounting experience.
Education
Bachelor’s or university degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Economics.
