NET-A-PORTER Import/Export Coordinator vacancy in Charlton, London. Manage customs compliance and logistics documentation.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Facilitate seamless flow of inbound stock imports and outbound customer orders into/from global distribution centres while ensuring customs compliance
  • Liaise daily with suppliers, carriers, and vendors to verify all documentation is complete and compliant for import and re-export to over 170 markets
  • Accurately classify goods using the Harmonised Tariff System and apply appropriate tariff classifications
  • Provide clear and concise import clearance instructions to carriers via software systems
  • Assist the customer care team with seamless delivery execution of customer shipments
  • Process urgent non-customer shipment requests through carrier software and generate all relevant shipping documentation
  • Identify areas of risk within the supply chain and develop solutions to maintain compliance controls

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of international customs laws, regulations, and export compliance policies
  • Detailed understanding of Harmonised Tariff System and HMRC Customs Procedure Codes
  • Full understanding of Incoterms and free trade agreements
  • Knowledge of air export documentation and procedures
  • Experience with dangerous goods, ATA Carnet, and CITES protocols
  • Proficiency with logistics documentation and carrier software platforms
