About NET-A-PORTER

Founded in 2000, NET-A-PORTER helped redefine luxury retail through a distinctive combination of curated fashion, editorial storytelling and digital innovation. As an employer, it brings together expertise across buying, technology, creative production, marketing, logistics and client service, connecting fashion sensibility with the precision of global e-commerce. Its international reach offers a setting for professionals drawn to both established maisons and emerging designers. Employees contribute to a customer experience shaped by product discovery, compelling content and attentive service. For talent seeking a career at the intersection of luxury and technology, NET-A-PORTER represents a distinctive environment within the evolving digital fashion landscape.

NET-A-PORTER seeks a senior Capabilities and Intake Manager for its Site Operations team, serving as the central business voice for feature discovery, capability enhancements, and roadmap prioritization across NET-A-PORTER and MR PORTER. Based at the Westfield office in Shepherd’s Bush, the hybrid role works 37.5 hours per week, with four days in the office, and leads intake governance, stakeholder prioritization, requirements development, and feature-backlog management through handoff to Product and Engineering.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Design, own, and lead the central intake process for business feature requests, site capabilities, and operational tooling enhancements across all business departments.
  • Facilitate regular prioritization forums, collaborative discovery workshops, and hackathons with senior leaders across Trading, Marketing, Personal Shopping, Customer Care, and Operations to assess feature requests, evaluate commercial value, and establish roadmap consensus.
  • Translate commercial opportunities—including brand curation versus revenue balancing, AI fashion co-pilots, regionalization, size and fit integration, and unsold inventory strategies—into structured business requirements and user scenarios.
  • Own and curate the internal business feature backlog and prioritization framework, evaluating commercial impact, brand guidelines, and operational trade-offs before technical handoff.
  • Partner with Product Managers, Technical Leads, and Engineering teams in early discovery to represent business interests, challenge scope, and establish success criteria without prescribing technical solutions.
  • Work with Site Operations and Trading teams to define operational readiness criteria, training needs, and change management strategies for the adoption of newly released capabilities.
  • Oversee post-launch feature impact with business owners, tracking adoption, commercial outcomes, and operational learnings to refine future backlog priorities.
  • Measure senior stakeholder alignment and satisfaction across intake forums; the quality, completeness, and sign-off rate of requirements before handoff; prioritization efficiency and backlog health, including cycle time from business concept to roadmap entry; user adoption and operational readiness; and commercial KPI realization and post-launch impact against business case objectives.

Qualifications

  • Senior experience in digital product management, business analysis, site operations, or strategic capability delivery in a complex, large-scale luxury or e-commerce environment.
  • Strong strategic and commercial acumen, including the ability to assess trade-offs involving brand curation and conversion, automated personalization and manual merchandising, and customer privacy and tailored experiences.
  • Exceptional senior stakeholder management, workshop facilitation, and influencing skills, with proven ability to build consensus across senior commercial, trading, and operational leadership.
  • Expertise in framing ambiguous business problems, running discovery hackathons and ideation sessions, and drafting comprehensive business requirements documentation.
  • Deep understanding of digital customer journeys, search and recommendation tooling, CMS and PIM workflows, and retail operational processes.
  • Self-directed leader comfortable operating at a senior level as an individual contributor without direct reports and advocating for business needs across technology and operational teams.
