Neiman Marcus — Chicago: Visual Stylist (full‑time, hourly). Create window and in‑store visual storytelling to elevate the Neiman Marcus brand.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Translate corporate visual directives and seasonal fashion storyboards into compelling window and in‑store displays that reinforce the Neiman Marcus brand.
  • Build, dress and maintain window installations, mannequins, furniture, floral and artisan elements to create cohesive merchandising narratives.
  • Partner with Visual Leads, Visual Manager and store leadership to implement fixture placement, floor presentation and vendor standards for assigned business families.
  • Execute in‑store activations and event set‑ups (staging, seating, décor) in collaboration with Brand Experience and store event teams.
  • Maintain visual workroom/studio organization and ensure safe handling of display materials and tools.
  • Attend daily and weekly merchandising meetings to align visual plans with new deliveries, inventory cadence and promotional calendars.
  • Monitor and replenish signage, props and presentation assets to protect visual integrity and drive sales performance.
  • Follow fashion style cards and corporate cadence for monthly and seasonal visual initiatives.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; four‑year degree preferred.
  • Prior visual merchandising or display experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to interpret fashion trends and translate them into commercial presentations.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong customer service orientation.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, proactive time management and ability to work autonomously.
  • Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Capability to perform physical tasks such as standing for long periods, bending, climbing stairs and lifting up to 35 pounds.

Experience

High school diploma required; bachelor's degree in visual merchandising, fashion, design or related field preferred.
