Neiman Marcus Visual Associate position in Chicago; create compelling retail displays and visual merchandising in a luxury multi-brand department store.
Role & Responsibilities
- Create and install window displays and in-store visual presentations according to corporate merchandising standards
- Style and dress mannequins with seasonal and promotional apparel collections
- Execute promotional and sale set-ups including signage, lettering, and floor presentation
- Prepare selling floor for daily store opening, ensuring visual readiness and proper merchandise display
- Maintain wall units and replenish merchandise on the selling floor as needed
- Assist Sales Support Team with trunk shows, personal appearances, and special event set-ups
- Follow all directives and guidelines established by the Visual Manager and Corporate Visual team
- Manage ad hoc visual projects and initiatives as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of visual team experience in a major multi-level department store
- Portfolio of previously created visual merchandising projects
- Proven ability to use carpentry tools safely and efficiently
- Proficiency with painting techniques and basic production knowledge
- Strong understanding of materials and construction methods
- Experience with fashion styling and garment pulls
- Current knowledge of fashion and art trends
Skills
Experience
Minimum 2 years of hands-on visual merchandising experience in a multi-level luxury department store environment, with demonstrated proficiency in creating and executing visual displays, styling garments, and managing visual projects from concept to completion.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; formal training in visual merchandising, design, or related field is preferred.
