Neiman Marcus seeks Visual Associate in Chicago. Execute displays, window styling, and visual merchandising in dynamic luxury retail environment. Full-time, $22.61–$28.26/hr.
Role & Responsibilities
- Execute all aspects of promotional and sale setups, including presentation, lettering, signage, and floor displays
- Create and maintain compelling window displays and dress all mannequins according to visual standards and merchandising directives
- Demonstrate initiative in 'selling floor readiness' prior to store opening each day
- Assist in replenishing merchandise on the selling floor and within wall units
- Support Sales Support Team with trunk shows and personal appearance preparations and setups
- Implement all visual initiatives and directives from the Visual Manager and Corporate Visual team
- Perform ad hoc visual and merchandising tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of visual team experience in a major multi-level department store
- Portfolio of previously created visual projects
- Proficiency in carpentry tools and safe handling practices
- Experience with painting techniques and basic production
- Strong knowledge of materials and construction methods
- Demonstrated expertise in fashion styling and merchandise pulls
- Strong knowledge of current fashion and art trends
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator preferred)
Skills
Experience
Minimum 2 years of hands-on visual team experience in a major multi-level department store environment, with a demonstrated portfolio of completed visual projects and window displays.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred; specific visual merchandising or retail design certification is advantageous but not required.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 22.61 to USD 28.26 per hour.
