Role & Responsibilities
- Alter constructed garments to meet Neiman Marcus quality standards, matching or exceeding original construction
- Execute seam alterations including venting, shoulder blade adjustments, chest reduction, and shoulder narrowing
- Rotate and shorten sleeves, adjust back and collar length, and square shoulders
- Shorten coats, re-line coats, and remake interior or exterior pockets
- Operate and maintain all sewing equipment with technical proficiency and meticulous upkeep
- Conduct self-inspection of completed alterations to ensure quality standards are consistently met
- Complete all alterations and assigned tasks as directed by Supervisor or Lead
- Interpret written and oral instructions with precision
Qualifications
- Ability to read English and understand instructions from management
- Ability to perform mathematical operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) across all units of measurement
- Experience in a tailoring operation or industrial sewing environment preferred
Skills
Experience
Experience in a tailoring operation or industrial sewing environment with exposure to a variety of garment styles and fabric types is preferred.
Education
Ability to read and comprehend English; basic mathematics proficiency required.

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 31.26 to USD 39.07 per hour.
