Role & Responsibilities
- Execute alterations to constructed garments, maintaining standards equal to or exceeding original construction quality
- Perform seam modifications (vented or unvented), shoulder blade adjustments, chest reductions, and shoulder narrowing
- Rotate and shorten sleeves; adjust back length, collar height, and shoulder squaring
- Shorten coats, re-line interiors, and remake or reconstruct inside and outside pockets
- Operate and maintain all sewing equipment to professional standards
- Conduct self-inspection of completed alterations to verify adherence to quality standards
- Interpret written and oral instructions from supervisors, leads, and management
- Complete assigned alteration tasks in accordance with supervisor direction
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in a tailoring operation or industrial sewing environment
- Proficiency with a variety of garment styles and fabric types
- Ability to read and comprehend English instructions
- Competency in basic mathematical operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) across all units of measure

Experience
Experience in a tailoring operation or industrial sewing environment with exposure to a variety of garment styles and fabric types is preferred.
Education
Ability to read English and understand written and oral instructions; basic mathematics competency required.
