Neiman Marcus seeks a Restaurant Service Assistant to support exceptional dining experiences at its luxury retail locations. This role focuses on maintaining immaculate table service standards, clearing and resetting dining room stations, delivering food and beverages, and assisting both kitchen and waitstaff to ensure guests receive service consistent with Neiman Marcus's premium hospitality standards. The position requires flexibility, physical stamina, and a commitment to excellence in a fast-paced fine dining environment.

Role & Responsibilities

• Maintain table setup and cleanliness in the dining room, including clearing and resetting tables between seatings
• Deliver food and beverages to guests according to kitchen tickets and proper table service protocol
• Manage bus stations and beverage service areas, ensuring adequate restocking of glasses, flatware, and linens
• Assist waitstaff with refilling beverages, running food from kitchen to dining room, and fulfilling guest requests
• Set up and maintain dining room stations with essential items including coffee, iced tea, ice, and other supplies
• Support kitchen staff with expediting, plating, to-go order preparation, and any operational needs
• Participate in daily pre-shift meetings and execute all assigned pre-shift, post-shift, and recurring duties
• Maintain exceptional hygiene and grooming standards to prevent food contamination
• Perform physical tasks including lifting tables, chairs, and other dining room equipment up to 35 pounds
• Clean and maintain restaurant workstations and dining areas to luxury standards

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred
• Demonstrated experience in food and beverage service and table service guidelines
• Thorough knowledge of proper placement of china, glassware, and flatware for formal table settings
• Understanding of order of service, kitchen ticket systems, and plating conventions
• Foundational knowledge of food preparation and culinary terminology
• Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, climb stairs, and lift and carry up to 35 pounds
• Flexible availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays

Skills

Experience

Experience in serving food and beverage and following proper table service guidelines is required. Prior work in fine dining or luxury hospitality environments is preferred.

Education

High School diploma or GED preferred.

Compensation

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 18.44 to USD 23.04 per hour.
