Role & Responsibilities

• Serve assigned seating section in a professional and gracious manner aligned with Neiman Marcus hospitality standards
• Provide detailed information about menu items utilizing thorough knowledge of food preparation and culinary terminology
• Demonstrate expert knowledge of wine, beer, and spirits, including technical service procedures and pairings
• Manage multiple duties simultaneously while interacting graciously with guests
• Participate in daily pre-shift briefings and execute assigned pre-shift and post-shift duties
• Adhere to established accounting procedures and authorized payment methods; maintain proficiency with POS systems
• Maintain clean and organized workstations and dining areas throughout service
• Lift and maneuver tables, chairs, and other dining furniture as required
• Maintain the highest standards of personal hygiene, uniform presentation, and professional appearance
• Coordinate schedule flexibility including evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred
• Demonstrated experience in food and beverage service with proper table service guideline knowledge
• Thorough knowledge of order of service and correct placement of china, glassware, flatware, and accompaniments
• Expert knowledge of culinary terminology and food preparation methods
• Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
• Exceptional customer service and problem-solving capabilities
• Physical ability to stand, bend, climb stairs, and lift and carry up to 35 pounds regularly

Skills

Experience

Experience in serving food and beverage and following proper table service guidelines; ability to demonstrate knowledge of order of service and table setting standards; experience handling multiple guests and transactions simultaneously in a hospitality environment.
