Role & Responsibilities
- Serve assigned seating section in a professional and gracious manner consistent with Neiman Marcus luxury standards
- Provide detailed information on menu items, food preparation, and culinary terminology to enhance guest knowledge and satisfaction
- Demonstrate expert knowledge of wine, beer, and spirits, including technical service procedures and recommendations
- Execute pre-shift meetings, post-shift duties, and additional assignments as directed by supervisor
- Maintain thorough knowledge of order of service and proper placement of china, glassware, flatware, and food in accordance with service guidelines
- Adhere to established accounting procedures for all transactions and POS system operations
- Maintain restaurant cleanliness, workspace organization, and compliance with health and hygiene standards
- Coordinate scheduling, vacation time, and shift changes with management while prioritizing operational needs
- Lift and transport objects such as tables, chairs, and serviceware weighing up to 35 pounds
- Interact graciously with guests and resolve service issues with exceptional problem-solving skills
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Demonstrated experience in food and beverage service and table service guidelines
