Role & Responsibilities

  • Provide professional, gracious service to guests in an assigned dining section consistent with Neiman Marcus standards.
  • Explain menu items using thorough knowledge of food preparation and culinary terminology.
  • Recommend and service wine, beer and spirits, applying technical and service procedures.
  • Manage multiple tables and guest interactions concurrently while maintaining composure and high service levels.
  • Participate in daily pre‑shift meetings and execute pre‑shift, post‑shift and other duties assigned by the supervisor.
  • Process guest transactions following established accounting procedures and using the POS system.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order of the restaurant and personal workstation; uphold hygiene and uniform standards.
  • Handle light physical duties including moving furniture and lifting up to 35 pounds.
  • Adhere to scheduling rules: punch in/out for shifts, take appropriate breaks, and coordinate time off with management.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Prior experience in food & beverage service with knowledge of formal table service and order of service.
  • Demonstrable ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Exceptional customer service, interpersonal and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to stand, bend, use stairs and lift/carry up to 35 pounds; willingness to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
