Neiman Marcus in Houston seeks a full-time Restaurant Server. Onsite role; hourly $20.12–$25.15. Fine-dining service in-store restaurant.
Role & Responsibilities
- Serve an assigned seating section with professional, gracious table service consistent with luxury dining standards.
- Convey detailed menu knowledge, including food preparation and culinary terminology, and advise guests on selections.
- Demonstrate technical service knowledge of wine, beer and spirits and execute beverage service procedures accurately.
- Process transactions and follow established accounting and POS procedures for all payment methods.
- Participate in pre-shift meetings and execute pre-shift, post-shift and other daily/weekly duties as directed by management.
- Maintain restaurant and workstation cleanliness and uphold the highest standards of personal hygiene and uniform presentation.
- Lift and move dining equipment as required and comply with scheduling procedures, including punctual clock-in/out practices.
- Work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including evenings, weekends, holidays and peak seasonal periods.
Qualifications
- Prior experience serving food and beverage in a restaurant, hotel or comparable dining environment.
- Thorough knowledge of order of service, table settings (china, glass, flatware) and proper placement driven by kitchen tickets and service guides.
- Strong customer-service orientation with proven problem‑solving ability and a collaborative, 'win together' mindset.
- Ability to work autonomously, multitask under pressure and maintain composure during high-volume service.
- Physical capability to stand for long periods, bend, climb stairs and lift and carry up to 35 pounds.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.

Previous experience in front-of-house food and beverage service is required; candidates should have a demonstrated track record of performing proper table service in a fast-paced dining environment.
