Role & Responsibilities
- Maintains dining-room tables by clearing and resetting them.
- Delivers popovers and butter, pours water, and serves food and beverages to guests according to kitchen tickets.
- Maintains the bus station and beverage areas.
- Learns table numbers and dining-area sections.
- Assists kitchen and service staff with service needs, including fulfilling additional customer requests, restocking plates, bagging takeaway orders, and setting up the expeditor station.
- Supports waitstaff by refilling beverages and running food from the kitchen to the dining room as needed.
- Sets up the dining room with key items, including coffee, iced tea, and ice.
- Restocks glasses, flatware, and linens in the dining room.
- Participates in daily pre-shift meetings.
- Completes pre-shift, post-shift, daily, and weekly duties assigned by the supervisor.
- Lifts and moves items such as tables, chairs, and highchairs.
- Cleans and maintains the restaurant and workstation.
- Maintains high hygiene standards, including keeping the uniform jacket, clothing, and shoes clean and pressed, and hair and nails clean and professionally styled to avoid food-contamination risks.
- Reports to the work area appropriately dressed and prepared, with the supplies and equipment needed to perform job duties.
Qualifications
- Experience serving food and beverages and following proper table-service guidelines.
- Ability to work autonomously.

- Knowledge of proper placement of china, glassware, and flatware for table settings.
- Thorough knowledge of service sequence and proper placement of table settings, food, and beverages according to kitchen tickets and the guidebook.
