Role & Responsibilities
- Sets and maintains service standards for staff regarding personal hygiene, restaurant cleanliness, associate interactions, and overall dining experience quality
- Creates efficient and flexible restaurant schedules in partnership with kitchen staff to meet operational needs
- Coordinates with kitchen staff on food procurement to cover menus and special events while maintaining inventory quality control and minimizing waste
- Prepares and executes daily guest service operations with front-of-house staff
- Identifies and communicates service lapses to staff, ensuring corrective action
- Completes daily, weekly, and monthly reports to forecast business and sales projections
- Plans schedules, manages inventory, and administers departmental budgets
- Delegates responsibilities to associates and monitors task completion
- Supports coordination and execution of special events and catering activities
- Reviews catering prospectus details for accuracy and completeness
- Manages all aspects of rentals, labor, beverage service, and event variables
- Builds and maintains relationships with customers as a restaurant representative
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Thorough knowledge of proper table settings including placement of china, glassware, and flatware
- Comprehensive understanding of order of service and table service protocols
- Thorough knowledge of culinary terminology and food preparation
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Product Suite preferred
- Ability to work standing, bending, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 35 pounds
Skills
Experience
Previous experience in restaurant or hospitality management, preferably in a luxury dining environment. Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and lead team members effectively.
Education
High school diploma or GED preferred
