Role & Responsibilities

• Greet and seat customers warmly and professionally from the host stand or entrance.
• Monitor server performance to support smooth service throughout the dining experience.
• Use proper telephone etiquette.
• Manage reservations, including VIP reservations, through OpenTable and respond to inquiries about operating hours, specials, events, and other matters.
• Organize reservations, maximize seating during operating hours, and optimize staffing and customer traffic.
• Follow established accounting procedures for transactions, accept authorized payment methods, and maintain knowledge of the POS system.
• Maintain service flow standards, including seating customers appropriately at each wait station.
• Participate in daily pre-shift meetings.
• Perform duties that may require lifting objects such as tables, chairs, and highchairs.
• Keep menus and menu covers clean and presentable.
• Maintain high hygiene standards, including clean, pressed uniforms and clothing, and clean, professionally styled hair and nails to avoid food-contamination risks.
• Follow the posted work schedule and established procedures for schedule and shift changes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Knowledge of the OpenTable platform.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously.
• Motivated and results-driven.
• Ability to interact graciously with the public and handle multiple duties simultaneously.
• Exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills.
• A collaborative, “win together” mindset.
• Ability to stand, bend, climb stairs, and lift and carry 35 pounds.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Education
