Role & Responsibilities
- Warmly greet, welcome and seat guests while maintaining a professional presence at the host stand or door.
- Manage reservations and guest lists using the OpenTable platform, including VIP and special requests.
- Organize seating to maximize capacity and optimize staffing and customer flow during operating hours.
- Monitor server performance and front‑of‑house service to ensure a seamless dining experience.
- Handle telephone inquiries and reservations with professional telephone etiquette.
- Follow established accounting procedures for transactions and operate the POS system for accepted payment methods.
- Participate in daily pre‑shift meetings and communicate operational notes to FOH staff.
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation of menus and front‑of‑house areas; adhere to hygiene and uniform standards.
- Perform light physical duties such as moving tables, chairs and highchairs; lift and carry up to 35 pounds as required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Working knowledge of the OpenTable reservation platform.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong telephone etiquette.
- Exceptional customer service orientation with effective problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast‑paced luxury retail environment.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Capability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks up to 35 pounds.

Experience
Prior experience in hospitality, fine dining or front‑of‑house service preferred; demonstrated familiarity with reservation platforms and guest reception in upscale environments is advantageous.
