The role involves producing and coordinating food items for daily menus and special events while maintaining rigorous inventory controls, health and sanitation standards, and cost discipline. The associate will work alongside restaurant staff to ensure seamless service delivery and operational efficiency within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Role & Responsibilities
- Produce and coordinate food items for daily menus and special events in collaboration with restaurant associates
- Control daily and weekly inventories and communicate supply needs to supervisor and head cook
- Coordinate production using menu counts and build-to sheets to minimize waste and manage costs
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and equipment according to all health and sanitation standards
- Verify special orders and communicate with associates to maintain timely food order flow
- Close and sanitize work areas promptly according to health codes and prepare items for next-day production
- Report equipment malfunctions and supply shortages to supervisor
- Uphold all Health and Sanitation standards as directed by Neiman Marcus, local Health Department, and third-party sanitation auditors
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 3 years of relevant food preparation or kitchen experience
- Ability to stand, bend, climb stairs, and lift and carry up to 35 pounds regularly
- Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by operational needs
- Strong understanding of food safety and health code compliance

At least 3 years of relevant experience in food preparation, kitchen operations, or culinary support roles within a restaurant or food service environment.
Education
High school diploma or GED required.
