Role & Responsibilities
- Keep dish, trash, and floor areas clean and organized to health and kitchen standards.
- Maintain the dish machine by checking chemical levels, using it correctly, reporting malfunctions to the Restaurant Manager or Executive Chef, and keeping chemical testers available.
- Use all sanitizing materials required for cleaning.
- Check trash periodically and remove it when full.
- Organize the dish area and solutions for pots, pans, sinks, and silverware.
- Maintain an appropriate pace washing pots, pans, dishes, flatware, and glassware.
- Handle breakable items, including dishes and glassware, with care.
- Keep floors free of spills, grease, and general trash.
- Assist with food preparation and additional kitchen cleaning as needed.
- Maintain professional relationships with line cooks, coworkers, the chef, and front-of-house staff.
- Uphold health and sanitation standards set by Neiman Marcus, the local Health Department, and third-party sanitation auditors.
Qualifications
- Able to work autonomously.
- Motivated and results-driven, with a “win together” mentality.
- Able to stand, bend, climb stairs, and lift and carry 35 pounds.
- Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays according to business needs.
