Role & Responsibilities
- Maintain dish machine operations by monitoring chemical levels and readiness, reporting equipment malfunctions to Restaurant Manager or Executive Chef
- Clean and organize all dish, trash, and floor areas to Health and Kitchen Department standards, exercising caution with breakables
- Remove trash periodically when full and maintain organized dish stations with solutions for pots, pans, sinks, and flatware
- Wash and maintain pace for all pots, pans, dishes, flatware, and glassware according to sanitation protocols
- Keep kitchen floors clean from spills, grease, and debris
- Assist with additional kitchen preparation and cleaning tasks as directed
- Maintain professional relationships with line cooks, coworkers, chefs, and front-of-house staff
- Uphold all Health and Sanitation standards as directed by Neiman Marcus, local Health Department, and third-party sanitation auditors
Qualifications
- Ability to work autonomously and remain motivated in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Physical capability to stand for extended periods, bend, climb stairs, and lift and carry up to 35 pounds
- Understanding of dishwashing machine operation and sanitizing materials
- Commitment to health, sanitation, and food safety standards
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by business needs
