Role & Responsibilities
- Maintain overall cleanliness and organization of the dish area, trash stations and kitchen floors to meet health and in-house standards.
- Operate and maintain the dishwashing machine, including chemical checks, replenishment, basic troubleshooting and reporting malfunctions to management.
- Use and manage sanitizing materials and chemical testers to ensure proper sanitation levels are maintained.
- Wash and pace the cleaning of pots, pans, dinnerware, flatware and glassware efficiently while exercising care with breakables.
- Remove and manage trash on a regular schedule to preserve a safe and sanitary work environment.
- Organize solutions and workstations for pots, pans, sinks and silver service items to support kitchen flow.
- Assist with kitchen preparation tasks and general cleaning as needed to support line cooks and service staff.
- Maintain professional working relationships with line cooks, chefs and front-of-house colleagues and comply with local Health Department and third-party sanitation auditor standards.
Qualifications
- Ability to work autonomously and follow direction in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Motivated, dependable and results-driven with a collaborative 'win together' mentality.
- Capacity to stand for extended periods, bend, climb stairs and lift/carry up to 35 pounds safely.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required by business needs.
- Willingness to adhere strictly to health, safety and sanitation protocols.
Experience
No formal experience required; prior restaurant, dishroom or kitchen experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 17.05 to USD 21.32 per hour.
