Role & Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain the commercial dishwashing machine, including chemical level monitoring and malfunction reporting to management
- Maintain pristine sanitation standards in dish, trash, and floor areas in compliance with Health Department and third-party audit requirements
- Wash and organize pots, pans, dishes, flatware, and glassware with efficiency and care to maintain service pace
- Conduct periodic trash removal and floor maintenance to eliminate spills, grease, and debris
- Exercise exceptional care when handling breakable items such as fine china and glassware
- Support kitchen preparation and additional cleaning tasks as directed by the Executive Chef or Restaurant Manager
- Maintain professional relationships and collaboration with line cooks, kitchen staff, and front-of-house personnel
Qualifications
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
- Physical capability to stand, bend, climb stairs, and lift and carry up to 35 pounds regularly
- Comfort working a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs
- Familiarity with commercial kitchen sanitation standards
