Role & Responsibilities
- Prepare and coordinate production of daily menu items and special-event dishes to ensure consistent quality and timely service.
- Control daily and weekly inventories; use production/build-to sheets and menu counts to manage waste and maintain profitability.
- Communicate supply needs and special preparation requirements with head cook and supervising associates.
- Maintain sanitary, organized and compliant workstations; close and sanitize areas according to health codes and prepare items for next-day production.
- Operate and perform daily maintenance checks on kitchen equipment; report malfunctions to designated associates promptly.
- Verify and communicate special orders; collaborate with restaurant and retail associates to maintain flow of food orders.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant culinary or cook experience in a high-volume restaurant, hospitality or retail dining environment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, climb stairs and lift/carry up to 35 pounds.
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends and holidays as required by business needs.
- Commitment to team-oriented, collaborative work style ('win together' mentality).
