Role & Responsibilities
- Produce and coordinate food required for daily menus and special events to ensure smooth, efficient restaurant operations.
- Control daily and weekly inventories and communicate supply needs to the head cook or supervisor.
- Use production (build-to) sheets, menu counts and order sheets to coordinate production, manage costs and minimise waste.
- Maintain a clean, organised and sanitised work area and close according to local health codes and sanitation auditor requirements.
- Maintain and report equipment status; promptly communicate any malfunctions to designated associates.
- Manage flow of food orders through prompt communication with service associates and verification of special orders.
- Prepare for next-day production by gathering required items and checking in with a supervisor before leaving.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum three years of relevant culinary or cook experience in a restaurant, café or similar environment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, climb stairs and lift/carry up to 35 pounds.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
- Commitment to teamwork and a collaborative, "win together" mentality.
- Strong adherence to health, sanitation and food-safety standards as directed by Neiman Marcus and local authorities.

At least 3 years of relevant culinary experience in a restaurant, café, or comparable food-service environment.
