Role & Responsibilities
- Produce and coordinate food items for daily menus and special events while managing production efficiency
- Control and monitor daily and weekly food inventory with attention to cost and profitability
- Coordinate production of menu items using menu counts and build-to sheets to minimize waste
- Maintain clean and organized work areas in accordance with all health and sanitation standards
- Maintain and report equipment malfunctions to designated supervisors
- Communicate supply needs and special orders promptly with head cook and restaurant associates
- Verify all special orders and modifications with designated associates
- Close and sanitize work areas at day's end according to health codes and prepare for next-day production
- Uphold all health and sanitation standards as directed by Neiman Marcus, local health departments, and third-party sanitation auditors
- Check in with supervisor before each shift and upon departure
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 3 years of relevant culinary or kitchen experience
- Ability to stand, bend, climb stairs, and lift and carry up to 35 pounds regularly
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require
